Welcome to the A.E.R.W.S.O.

The South West Region Western Equestrian Association (AERWSO) is a non-profit organization established in 1980 to promote western equestrian sport in the south west region of Quebec. This association is affiliated with the Quebec Equestrian Federation and Equine Canada.

We offer something for everyone – from the very young to the golden-agers, from beginner to the very experienced. We have many home grown classes such as Green Horse and Green Reiner. Green Horse is offered for horses gaining their first year of experience in competition while Green Reiner provides a forum for riders in their first year of competition in reining.

There are a variety of classes such as, Lead Line, Walk & Trot, Western and English Pleasure, Obstacles, Western and English Equitation and Command. These classes provide the necessary arena for competition by age and experience level as well as for horse and pony. For regular performance classes, we offer an Intermediate division which acts as a transitional class between beginner and the very experienced.

The association is managed by passionate and devoted volunteers who give generously of their time to help promote equestrian sport. It is a pleasure to answer any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you at our competitions! Safe and Happy Rides !
